This photo, purchased on eBay in August 2004, is inscribed H. D. Rainwater. This leads us to believe that it is a photo of one of four possible individuals:

• Henry D. Rainwater, 1867 - 1932, Alabama
• Hugh Dallas Rainwater, 1869 - 1896, Georgia
• Hiram D. Rainwater, 1872 - ??, Missouri
• Herbert D. Rainwater, 1898 - 1976, Arkansas

Terry Rainwater has indicated that this is not Hugh Dorsey Rainwater, 1914 - 1994, Georgia, narrowing the possibilities down from five to four.
